Chia Lieu is
a true visionary in the world of bridal fashion. By the age of nine, Chia was a budding
designer, reworking and creating hand-me-down clothes from her older
brothers. Her designs impressed her parents
so much, Chia was enrolled in a private school where she learned to master
the necessary techniques in only two months.
Little did she know, years later she would be the creative force and
Founder behind Chia Lieu Designs, creating sophisticated, elegant and unique
bridal gowns.
When she
left Vietnam and arrived
in the United States
at the age of 28, Chia landed a job with Mark
Heister. After a stint with the
well-known designer at Chicago Apparel, Chia moved to California
and worked with Beverly Hills
bridal gown designer Norma Lenain.
During this time, Chia also took additional fashion design college
courses and earned the prestigious McKnight Scholarship, where her first
bridal gown won the Best of Show award.
Chia had arrived on the bridal scene and it was only a matter of time
before she opened her own bridal salon in Laguna Hills
and Lake Forest, California.
In
October of 2004, Chia Lieu Designs was formed. Based in Southern
California, each of Chia’s gowns reflect her innate style and meticulous eye
for detail. Chia diligently searches
for the perfect material and fabric for each dress and has built a successful
business based on her impeccable taste and the quality of each custom-made
gown.
Chia Lieu Designs
are available at the Chia Lieu Bridal Store in Tustin,
California, as well as select bridal boutiques
throughout the country.
